Can you and your kids jump farther than a cricket or a frog? Come to
the Discovery Center to visit our new Discovering Healthy Families
kiosk. You will learn all about nutrition and fitness through
interactive panels about the food pyramid, essential nutrients,
calorie consumption, heart health, and more. You’ll see examples of
vitamin-rich foods and read ways your children benefit from helping
in the kitchen. You can use the computer station to find online
resources or play with the interactive games and puzzles.
You’ll pay $75 or more per session for a personal trainer. Instead,
sign up now for a Discovering Healthy Families coach and
receive ten weeks of health and wellness coaching for only $50 for
the whole family! MTSU-trained coaches help your family set
realistic goals, encourage healthy lifestyle choices, track your
progress, and give you feedback. The schedule is flexible; you and
your coach decide the forms and frequency of communication that best
suit your needs. If you and your family coach aren’t a perfect
match, you can switch coaches for free. Health coaching is the best
way to help your family stay on track.
